General Introduction

Skin allergy is called Urticaria in medical terminology and Shitpitta, Udard or Utkoth in Ayurveda. This disease occurs due to the imbalance of Rasa, Rakta and other Dhatu and Mandagni. This herbal medicine Kalpa has been created to cure skin allergy from the root by curing all these doshas and to strengthen the immune system of the body.

Ingredients:

(Each 500 mg film coated tablet contains)

1. Haridrakhand churna – 100 mg
2. Kandughna mahakashay – 100 mg
3. Karanj beeja ghan – 30 mg
4. Nimbapatra ghan – 30 mg
5. Vidang ghan – 20 mg
6. Gandhak rasayan – 100 mg
7. Udard prashaman mahakashay – 100 mg
8. Praval pisti – 15 mg
9. Yashad bhashma – 5 mg Bhavana dravya:
10. Haridra swaras – 1 time
11. Gomutra – 1 time
12. Nimbapatra swaras – 1 time

Medicinal Analysis:

Haridrakhand Churna:

This is a well-known medicine used most frequently for skin allergy i.e. hives and itching. For many years, Vaidyas have been using this powder in abundance on patients of all ages and conditions, young and old, because it is capable of curing hives from the root.

Kandughna Mahakashaya Ghan:

Acharya Charak has considered ten main medicines to be the best for curing itching in the whole body. To get the best results of those ten medicines, their Ayurvedic Extract i.e. Ghan has been used which gives immediate relief from itching caused by Urticaria or other skin disorders.

Karanja Bij Ghan, Nimbapatra Ghan, Vidang Ghan:

These three Tikta ras pradhan are excellent blood purifiers, anti-helmintics, anti-infection and are extremely useful in increasing immunity. It is very effective in skin disorders which is caused by worms or indigestion. It also gives good results in severe conditions of Urticaria and chronic conditions.

Gandhaka Rasayan:

This medicine has been considered very effective by the scholars in the treatment of all skin disorders. It is useful in itching and hives caused by fungal and bacterial infections.

Udard Prashmanam Mahakashayah

According to Acharya Charak, in the acute stage of Urticaria, in which there are big rashes (inflamed circles) on the whole body, the skin becomes red, the eyes also turn blood red and there is unbearable itching in the whole body. In such a condition, this medicine is the best in giving quick results. That is why its ghan (Ayurvedic Extract) has been used in it.

Praval Pishti and Yashad Bhasma:

Both these Bhasm are very useful in calming down pitta, increasing immunity and purifying the blood. Its use helps in burning the root of hives. It is also helpful in supplying minerals and reducing the pitta in the stomach.

Bhaavna Dravya:

Assimilating the principle of “Mardanam Gunvardhanam” of Ayurvedic sages, to make this formulation more effective, it has been given the essence of Haridra Swaras which is an excellent antibacterial (Antibacterial, Antiviral, Antifungal), Bhaavna of Nimbapatra Swaras which cures rakta and pitta related skin disorders and Bhaavna of Gomutra which is a shrotoshodhak.
