General Introduction
Haridra contains volatile oil (5.8%), protein (6.3%), mineral matter (3.5%) and carbohydrates
(69.4%), besides a yellow pigment called curcumin and vitamin A. That is why it is extremely useful in diseases like inflammation, blood disorders, diabetes, chronic fever, pigmentation related disorders and anemia. It is very inconvenient to take herbal medicines in the form of powder or kadha due to their taste and quantity. As a solution to this problem, in this capsule, a mixture of Haridra extract and powder prepared by Ayurvedic method has been given 4 Bhavnas of Haridra kshaya. That is why this 500 mg capsule is as effective as 3 grams of Haridra powder.

Medicinal analysis:
Haridra is an ancient medicine. Haridra is also mentioned in popular Ayurvedic texts like Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Ashtang Hridaya. Haridra is kapha-vat shamak, pitta rechak and pitta shamak. That is why it is beneficial in digestive problems, gout, blood circulation problems, cancer, bacterial infection and diabetes.
